THEORIES ON LEARNING

The theories that help in the practical section while dealing with students are listed below.

  1. Theory of multiple intelligence

According to Howard Gardner, there are eight kinds of intelligence in general. They are; logical-mathematical, bodily-kinesthetic, musical, interpersonal, intrapersonal, spatial, and linguistic.

  1. Theory of Classical conditioning

The theory put forward by Ivan Pavlov. He was conducting experiments in dogs. This theory can be applied in humans also. Whenever the child completes homework or does good things, we reward them. Whenever they break the rules or do something bad, we punish them. So, in their brain, conditioning will occur. Be thorough with the theory and the terms in it.

  1. Bloom’s Taxonomy

This is a hierarchical theory classify learning objectives into three hierarchies. They are the cognitive domain, affective domain, and sensory domain.

a. Cognitive domain

It is a knowledge-based domain. That is the area deals with cognition. It is again broken into six levels. That is, remember, understand, apply, analyze, evaluate, and create.

b. Affective domain

It is an emotion-based domain. It describes the way people react emotionally. Also the ability to feel other’s emotions and feelings.

c. Psychomotor domain

It is the ability to physically manipulate a tool or instrument. It also focuses on change or development in behavior or skills.

  1. Social Interaction Theory

According to Lev Vygotsky, there is a relation between social interaction and language. That is, the development of language occurs through the social interaction of the child.
