METHODS OF LEARNING
The methods of teaching can be divided into teacher-centric and learner-centric methods.
1. Teacher centric method
Teacher centric method is basically the method of teaching in which there is a one-way flow of information. In which the teacher is teaching and students are listening. For example, lecture method.
2. Learner centric method
There will be a two-way flow of information. that is, the teacher teaches and students respond actively. Students will participate and interact with the teacher. For example, taking class with using audio-visual aids, giving project works, and role play. In this method, students interact with the teacher and other students and learn from the process.
Another kind of division is online teaching and offline teaching.
1. Offline teaching method
In this setting, teachers teach students in a classroom setting. demerit of this kind of teaching is it laps flexibility. also, a limited number of students can be situated in one class.
2. Online teaching
It is the new feature in which teachers upload content on their website or youtube channel. so, students can view it any time anywhere. it is more flexible. the only important key thing is having the internet.
E-LEARNING FACILITIES
There are a lot of initiatives taken in this area.
1. MOOC
It is one of the most important initiatives. It stands for Massive Open Online Courses. These are courses designed by great universities in the world like Oxford, Harward, Cambridge, etc. they are putting up the courses on websites like UDACITY, COURSERA, edX, etc. Any students across the world can access these.
2. SWAYAM
Another initiative taken by the Indian government is SWAYAM. All the famous Indian institutes like IIT, and IIM putting up courses free of cost on the website.
3. CEC
The initiative taken by UGC long back is CEC. It stands for Consortium for Educational Communication. it is basically a platform where great lecturers put up lectures talking about major topics.
4. E-PAATSHALA
it is another initiative by the government of India. it has been taken by MHRD and NCERT. It is a platform where you will find free resources. like textbooks, video lectures, text series, etc.
